Antibody (IgG) Tests

Take a simple and reliable test from the safety of your own home to find out if you have COVID-19 antibodies, a sign that your body has previously been infected with the coronavirus.

Taken 14 days or more after you first suffer symptoms, this IgG antibodies test has been shown to be 99.6% accurate in its ability to detect the COVID-19 antibodies which your body produces in response to the coronavirus.

The test is made available by one of the first laboratories in Europe able to offer this test, which is CE marked, FDA EUA approved and is also being used by the NHS to test frontline workers

This test is provided by Dr. Alex Concorde (BSc(Hons), MBBS(Lond), PhD, MSc(FPsych), MBA) and her company EMILIA health. For more info on Dr. Concorde click here

There is however still a great deal to learn about this virus. Despite the accuracy of the test there is still much to learn about what is safe behaviour after finding out your result. It is most definitely not recommended that anyone assumes they have immunity and can go about life as what used to be normal before this pandemic just because there are antibodies in their blood.

The test has so far been shown by the FDA to be 100% sensitive in detecting antibodies 14 days after the first symptoms of confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection but it is not yet known whether antibodies definitely do give immunity and if they do, for how long. So do not throw away the hand gel and start hugging people who cough just yet!
